In Memoriam
L. Jay Pedersen
(1950 – 2012)

With great sadness we recognize the passing of our friend and colleague L. Jay Pedersen. Jay lost his battle with lymphoma on January 16, 2012. Jay joined the Bledsoe firm in 1986 and became a partner in 1991. An exceptional trial attorney, Jay practiced in courts throughout California and was selected by his peers as a Northern California Super Lawyer many times. Jay will be missed by his clients, colleagues and staff.

The Recorder Names Alison M. Crane among its Attorneys of the Year

Alison M. Crane was selected as an Attorney of the Year by The Recorder, Northern California 's preeminent legal newspaper. Ms. Crane, and co-counsel Jeffrey G. Nevin, were recognized for this honor for their defense verdict in the trial of the highly-publicized "De Anza Gang Rape case." Facing years of adverse publicity and entrenched public opinion against the accused, the complete defense verdict in a case many thought was impossible to defend highlights the critical importance of our right to a jury trial.
