A partner since 1988, Mr. Diestel is a graduate of the University
of California at Berkeley, where he received an A.B. degree in Economics.
Mr. Diestel earned his J.D. degree at Hastings College of the Law,
and regularly appears in all of the courts in the State of California.
Mr. Diestel’s practice includes complex personal injury and
business litigation, including unfair competition, employment litigation,
products liability, construction law, and environmental torts. He
has successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has litigated
hundreds of cases to successful resolution. A strong proponent of
ADR, Mr. Diestel has over ten years of service as an arbitrator
with the California Superior Court. He also has testified as an
expert witness on handling third-party litigation.
Mr. Diestel is a charter member of American Inn of Court, a national
organization that promotes legal excellence, civility, professionalism
and ethics. He is A-V rated and is a member of the American Bar
Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Association
of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Diestel
serves as a frequent lecturer on civil litigation at law schools
and Bar Associations.
