Ms. Garcia, a native Texan, received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In 2008 she obtained her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law - Camden in New Jersey.

In law school, Ms. Garcia dedicated numerous hours of volunteer work to the Rutgers University Domestic Violence Project, a program committed to providing education and legal assistance to victims of domestic violence. Recognized for her pro bono efforts, Ms. Garcia was awarded a Pro Bono Publico Award by the University's Assistant Dean for Pro Bono and Public Interest Programs. Ms. Garcia was also a recipient of the Dean's Academic Excellence Scholarship and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.

During the summer of her second year of law school, Ms. Garcia clerked at McManis, Faulkner, & Morgan, a trial law firm in downtown San Jose. There, she assisted attorneys in the areas of employment, family, business law, and general civil litigation. Additionally, before moving to California, Ms. Garcia clerked at Coane and Associates, an immigration firm based in Houston, Texas, where she met with clients and assisted them through the process of petitioning for asylum in the U.S. and in filling out relevant paperwork.

Ms. Garcia joined the Bledsoe Firm in 2009 and is admitted to both the Texas State Bar and the California State Bar.
