Kelly A. Welsh

Ms. Welsh received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University . She received her Juris Doctorate degree from New College of California School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 2007.

During law school, Ms. Welsh was the lead organizer for the ACLU's police reform campaign. Thereafter, Ms. Welsh was a law clerk at Bay Area Legal Aid where she worked on public benefits issues and successfully argued a case before an administrative judge. Ms. Welsh also gained experience in criminal defense as a law clerk at the Law Office of Mark Vermeulen and in immigration law at the Law Office of Shah Peerally.

In undergraduate school, Ms. Welsh was chosen to represent San Francisco State University at the Leon and Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy where she was mentored by President Clinton's former Chief of Staff and was an assistant in Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's Office in Washington D.C. After completing her bachelor's degree, Ms. Welsh worked at Coleman Advocates for Children and Youth.

Ms. Welsh is a member of the National Lawyers Guild, American Bar Association, San Francisco Bar Association and the Inn of Court.
