Mr. Runft is a graduate of the University of Chicago, where he received a BA in History with Honors. Mr. Runft earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2002, where he graduated Cum Laude and as the winner of the Constitutional Law Prize for outstanding work in that field.
After law school, Mr. Runft clerked for the Honorable Justice Gerald Schroeder of the Idaho Supreme Court, and he practiced law in Idaho for five years prior to joining the Bledsoe Firm.
Mr. Runft has experience in commercial litigation, torts, construction defects, administrative law, and election law. Mr. Runft is experienced in trial work, motion practice and appellate law. In 2003, Mr. Runft represented Idaho State representatives in challenging the Idaho legislative reapportionment plan following the 2000 census. The plan was struck down twice as unconstitutional. Mr. Runft also succeeded in striking down as unconstitutional portions of Idaho's registration requirements for political action committees.
