Mr. Whittemore graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government in 1999 and pursued a concentration in International Politics. He received his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2005. That same year, he was admitted to the California State Bar.
During law school, Mr. Whittemore participated in a tutorial in jurisprudence at Oxford University, sponsored by Santa Clara University of law. He also worked as a law clerk for Shea & Shea, A Professional Corporation, assisting in a variety of personal injury and product liability cases. Also, he was a law clerk at the Law Offices of Paul Kemp working on plaintiffs' personal injury cases.
Prior to coming to Bledsoe, Mr. Whittemore was an associate at Vogl & Meredith, LLP, handling general civil litigation, including personal injury defense, toxic tort, construction defect, and product liability. During his tenure there, he authored articles for the California Commercial Digest, a publication designed to keep clients informed of significant legal developments.
Mr. Whittemore joined the Bledsoe Firm in 2007 and is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
